PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY
โ
โQ: What are the age requirements for your summer camps?
โA: Our summer tech camps welcome youth of various ages, with programs designed for different skill levels from beginners to advanced learners. We believe in making STEAM education accessible to kids and young adults of all backgrounds. No prior technical experience is required - our expert instructors will meet students where they are and help them build confidence through our core values of Listen, Access, Teach, Create, and Play.
โQ: Does my child need any prior experience with game design or 3D modeling?
โA: Absolutely not! Our programs are specifically designed to welcome complete beginners. Whether your child has never touched design software or has some experience, our instructors adapt to each student's skill level. We use industry-standard tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, G-Develop, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Blender, but we start with the basics and build up gradually.
โQ: What equipment or materials does my child need to bring?
โA: We provide all necessary software and equipment during camp sessions. Students should bring a notebook for taking notes and their creativity! All technical tools and materials are included in the program fee.
SCHEDULE AND SESSION INFORMATION
โQ: When are the 2025 summer camps running?
โA: Summer 2025 camp enrollment is currently open! There are 8 weeks of camp this summer. Each weekly session is structured to end with unique projects that students build themselves using their newly acquired skills. For specific dates and scheduling, please contact us at info@cyberninjaz.com or (310) 754-0745.
โQ: Where are the camps held?
โA: Our in-person summer tech camps are held at St. Andrew's Episcopal School, located at 8804 Postoak Road, Potomac, MD 20854.
โQ: What does a typical day look like?
โA: Each day combines hands-on technical learning with physical activity. Students might spend time designing game levels in Unity, creating 3D characters in Blender, or learning digital art techniques in Photoshop. We often incorporate martial arts and fitness activities to improve strength, agility, and confidence. Every session balances screen time with physical movement and creative expression.
STUDENT AND PARENT EXPECTATIONS
โQ: What will my child actually learn and create?
โA: Students dive into game design and development, 3D modeling and digital art, plus martial arts and fitness training. By the end of each weekly session, they'll have completed unique projects showcasing their new skills - whether that's a playable game level, an animated 3D character, or digital artwork. Our approach combines technical skills with visual storytelling and creative problem-solving.
โQ: How do you ensure students don't get frustrated or fall behind?
โA: Our teaching philosophy centers on five core values: Listen, Access, Teach, Create, and Play. We listen to each student's needs, ensure they have access to learning regardless of background, teach at their pace, encourage creative expression, and keep learning fun and engaging. Our expert instructors are trained to provide individual support while maintaining an encouraging group environment.
โQ: Is this just about technology, or are there other benefits?
โA: While we specialize in STEAM education, our mission goes deeper - we focus on personal skill development and overall childhood development. Students build confidence, learn discipline through martial arts training, develop problem-solving abilities, and gain communication skills through collaborative projects. We're preparing them for the modern digital era while building character.

โA: As a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit founded in 2014, our mission is closing the digital divide by making STEAM education accessible to kids of all backgrounds. Please reach out to discuss your situation - we're committed to working with families to ensure financial barriers don't prevent participation.
